枸杞属茄科植物，多年生草本植物。枸杞田内的黑枸杞灌木枝条上常常会生长出尖锐的棘刺。虽然在开春修剪枝条的过程中，已经剪掉了可能成长为棘刺的嫩枝，但是依然有大量尖锐刺生长。在采摘过程中，杞农常常需要将手伸入灌木内，以采摘到灌木内层的果实。为了能够用手指灵活的采摘挂在枝头的枸杞，不伤害到果实，杞农往往不会选择佩戴工作手套等等防护措施。这也使得采摘中，杞农的手背，小臂等等暴露在衣服之外的肢体，极容易被棘刺划伤。即使近年来，随着种植科技进步，枸杞品种改良，棘刺减少，划伤与扎伤依然是杞农常见的问题。

Wolfberry is a perennial herbaceous plant of the Solanaceae family. Sharp thorns often grow on the branches of black wolfberry shrubs in wolfberry fields. Although during the spring pruning process, the young branches that may grow into thorns have been cut off, there are still a large number of sharp thorns growing. During the picking process, wolfberry farmers often need to pick the fruits from the inner layer of the bush. In order to be able to flexibly pick wolfberry hanging on the branches without damaging the fruits, farmers often choose not to to wear work gloves and other protective measures. This also makes their fingers, forearms and other limbs exposed outside clothes, scratched by thorns during picking. Even in recent years, with the advancement of planting technology and the improvement of wolfberry varieties which led to  the  reduction of thorns on the bushes, scratches and punctures are still a common problem for wolfberry farmers.
